About Ukiyoe Portrait

Ukiyoe Portrait is a contemporary revival of the traditional Japanese woodblock print “Okubi-e,” primarily used for Japanese-style weddings and gifts for international partners.

Hello, everyone. I’m Muramasa, a Ukiyoe Portrait artist.

I’m actively promoting the art of Ukiyoe Portrait, traditional Japanese portrait art, in various locations.

I draw portraits of men to make them look as stylish as Kabuki actors, and for women, I create portraits that showcase their beauty in kimono.

Ukiyo-e is a painting style from the Edo period in Japan that has had a lasting influence on Western art as well.

Through our traditional portraits and designs, we aim to share the stylish and chic world view with people from all over the world.

We incorporate auspicious patterns into our artwork, symbolizing the happiness and prosperity of those portrayed.
